Abstract

This research aims to increase the activities and mathematical problem-solving abilities of class VII-4 students at SMP Negeri 9 Kendari on the subject of Linear Equations with One Variable through a mathematics learning model with a realistic constructivist approach and to find out teachers teaching the subject of Linear Equations with One Variable in class. VII-4 SMP Negeri 9 Kendari follows the steps of the mathematics learning model with a realistic constructivist approach. This research is included in classroom action research (PTK). The main characteristic of classroom action research is that there are certain actions to improve the learning process and outcomes in the classroom. This research was carried out in class VII-4 of SMP Negeri 9 Kendari in semester 1 (one) of the 2019/2020 academic year. The results of the research show that the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII-4 students at SMP Negeri 9 Kendari on the subject of linear equations in one variable can be improved through a mathematics learning model with a realistic constructivist approach by 41%, and student activity also increases by an average of 80% in the category Good.
