Improving Students' Mathematics Learning Outcomes in The Subject Subject by Giving Corrected Assignments in Class VII.1 SMP Negeri 9 Kendari

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on the subject of association in class VII.1 of SMP Negeri 9 Kendari for the 2017-2018 academic year by providing corrected assignments. The type of research is classroom action research (PTK). The procedure for implementing this classroom action research consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of activity planning, action implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection. To find out student learning outcomes before being given action, an initial test is first held as a benchmark to see students' understanding of the set material. The subjects used as data sources in this research were 35 students in class VII.1 of SMP Negeri 9 Kendari. The data sources for this research are teachers and students. The types of data obtained are qualitative data and quantitative data, consisting of the results of observation sheets and study test results. The results of the research show that by giving corrected assignments, the learning outcomes of class VII.1 students at SMP Negeri 9 Kendari for the 2017-2018 academic year on the subject of the set can be improved, namely that 88.57% of students have mastered 75% of the material taught.
